Born February 25, 1987 in the parish of St Catherine, Jamaica in a
little town called Linstead, the third of six Siblings, to mother
Deloris Davy - Drake and father; Donnavon Drake this young and prolific
artiste/Song writer got his musical calling at age fourteen. Born
"Ramone Drake" he was forced to take on a name that suited his vocal
style and way of putting melodies to his eloquently written lyrics,
hence he came up with the name "Melloquence" a fusion of the words
melody and eloquence. He however, first came to the public’s attention
when he auditioned and made the top ten in the Magnum Kings and Queens
of Dancehall, a talent show aired on national television. Although his
stay in the competition ended prematurely, he still managed to impress
one of the most successful producers in the industry "Cordel Skatta
Burrell” who was also one of the judges on the show. Seen as an
eloquent, dynamic talent by young producer Ricardo Ricketts,
Melloquence is currently signed to 92fs Entertainment and is currently
in the studios working out his vocals so keep your ears and eyes open
for his upcoming acts. In a relatively short time Melloquence has
recorded Four (4) tracks two of which are dancehall and the other two
are reggae tracks. Tracks: Crying and Royal Woman are now rocking the
air waves.
